This class cultivates deeper awareness of the poses, attention to alignment, understanding of breathing techniques, and exploration of the mind as well as of the body which at times might be challenging. This class helps with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, relaxation, mindfulness, and joy in the yoga poses. We will practice in the Zen Garden weather permitting. Skanda Yoga All Levels, this class is a breath-inspired, alignment-based vinyasa style. The energy of the 13-Moon Natural time calendar is embodied to align with nature's cyclical patterns. The energy of the mythical hero and spiritual warrior is invoked to initiate a transformation. Skanda Yoga is designed to challenge the practitioner's perceived limitations and to encourage all to pursue their path with a fearless heart. The classes are fun, inspiring, and self-empowering.
